Stage one: Main lineart is laid down, and the tree has been inked. By the way, inking the tree was FUCKING BITCH, HOLY SHIT. It was when I began the leaves that I wondered to myself, 'Why the fuck did I decide to ink this? Fuck. Fuuuckkkkkk." Oh, also, the buildings' outer skeletons were done with a ruler, but the rest was freehand.. hence why they're so weird-looking. I'm not really into drawing buildings, and you can tell, heheh..

Stage two: Yeeeeah I kind of skipped a whole lot of stages. Like, most of them, haha. But the bottom right-hand corner isn't complete here!.. ¬___¬ Yeah, I spontaneously changed a few of the little buildings when I inked them, mainly that random circular area. It's a construction site? I don't know. Whatever.

Stage three: Complete!! Yaay!!!!!

The neat drafting table Elie and my Uncle John got me.. it's pretty sweet. Even though I don't have room in my room for it .___.;;.

Closeup of the stuff when the drawing was at Stage two.

Different angle!! Waahhhhhahhh!!!!!!!

Extreme closeup. As you can see, I really didn't plan the drawing through, because if I had, I would have picked MUCH STURDIER paper. Holy shit, you have no idea how much that paper fucked me over when working on this.. *shaking fist* It's great for just sketching, though. Heavy duty shading, not so much.. but I have a pretty heavy hand when it comes to shading and coloring, so that could be just me.
So I like the drawing overall. It taught me that I need to learn how to draw structures like buildings better, and to pick heavier paper if I'm going to use forrealz inking pens with sharp nibs. Oh, and also that ink washes off of skin really easily. And that I should BELIEVE MYSELF when I say I need to be more careful when inking around ninja people because I KNEW I WAS GOING TO MESS IT UP, DAMNIT. What's cool about this piece, though, is that it's in my sketchbook, so people will see it and be like omfg!! when they ask to look at my drawings. SWEET.
I love webpost <3. And Basement Jaxx!! And this song!!!

Yeah, my friend Leon in California introduced me to them, cuz he's a really really big fan.
I have As the Eternal Cowboy, if you want to put it on your iPod (I have one too now, my uncle gave me it as a suprise) or something. I have three more songs, Disco Before the Breakdown, I Still Love You Julie, and What We Worked For.
So if you want to hang out any time soon, that would be cool, as I still owe you your CD player back and a sushi dinner. Ha, I'm glad I went to Cali first because now I know all sorts of cool sushi tricks.
Peace.

I'm back on the east coast again, I came back on the 19th. And yes, we most definitely should meet up asap.
Ha, I bought the postcard at this awesome place called Wacko's which you would have really liked. I thought of you a lot in there and especially when I saw those postcards.

I have a feeling I would like a store called Wacko's, haha. I'm free this week after Tuesday, so maybe we can hang out then? I don't think I can provide any rides, though. :/
